Wire sawing is done with the use of diamond impregnated wire that is wrapped around the piece that needs to cut off or sectioned out. Wire sawing has no limit of depth or size of cut and is extremely efficient since everywhere the wire is in contact with the material it is cutting. Wire sawing is very versatile in its ability to cut from confined spaces, above ground, even underwater. Wire saws are the perfect tool for reducing the size of large structures for removal from site, cutting down the cost of disposal of the material to be removed.

Typical applications in the heavy civil market including bridge piers, columns, foundations, hydroelectric structures, and turbine shafts. On the large industrial side, wire sawing is a great application for equipment pads, deep slab openings, paper and pulp plants, thick wall openings, shafts, bank vaults, large concrete pipe, and slurry walls. Wire sawing is especially useful in nuclear decommissioning where access is limited, and the material is especially thick. Wire sawing can also be used for cutting of metal applications, ship propeller shafts, cooling towers, steel beam, brass valves, and material that is required to be cut, except wood. Circle wire sawing is used when there is a need for large diameter holes that typically would be difficult or impossible with standard core drilling equipment. Circle wire sawing had no limit in diameter size or depth of material.
